Soft, elegantly casual clothing."
"She gets joy from shrinking her carbon footprint."
"[damali] sees a strong link between racial justice and the environment."

CROW's MamaBird, CEO damali ayo, cruising down the sidewalk with dog stevie in tow.

Ayo thrives on bringing together seemingly disparate ideas -- art, activism and living well for a better world."
But ayo views Crow as a holistic approach to her social activism, which includes dispelling misconceptions that people of color aren't committed to environmentalism. She strives to make Crow as green as possible, with eco-friendly fabrics, production and packaging."
Crow designs are basic but clever."

There's a new eco-friendly clothing company on the scene that's shaking things up."

I have never come across an organic clothing company that has offered stylish organic ties such as the Tiebreaker. Something so different, yet fashionable; something so ordinary, yet made from your not-too-typical sustainable fibers: organic cotton, lyocell, and bamboo."
Their company has strong values in environmental sustainability, which makes it that much easier to trust in their eco-friendly products."
Yes, this company is listed twice in the clean, green dozen. Why? Because it is so trendy in it's organic styles for both women and men, that it deserved a second spot."

Think Anna Wintour is a planet killing, soul sucking, fur wearing wilderbeast? Chances are you will love CROW." [For the record, CROW has no issue with Anna Wintour. We have a subscription to Vogue. Don't you?]
But what makes the company truly revolutionary is their belief in "economy of community". Crow offers sliding scale pricing so a wide variety of people can afford to wear the line. If only the rest of the fashion industry would follow Crow’s lead. Anna, any thoughts?"

Damali Ayo, a fellow green blogger, and a constant source of inspiration to live greener and to blog green, has launched CROW clothing line and a comprehensive complementary web cafe (includes social network) to support it. You can even check out "real" people sporting the fashions on the site. Features of the clothing line:

A few decades ago, being eco-friendly and being fashionable were two mutually exclusive states of mind. But today, you can do both at the same time. For instance, Stella McCartney is flying the green flag with her Eco line of denim, made from 100 percent organic cotton....You can also go fashionably green with Oregon-based clothing label CROW in the US, which lets buyers determine the prices of the company’s eco-friendly designs."

Not only will their chic sustainable clothing catch the eyes of the socially conscious, but I pretty much guarantee that once the word spreads that you can buy their clothes on a sliding scale, that this indie brand will soon become mainstream."

But, from what we can tell, there is a lot more to this company than very cool clothing with an innovative pricing structure. The CROW website is full of resources, including articles, videos and links, and has its own social network. Whew! It's a lot to crow about!"

The hope is that green consumers who can afford to pay more will do so in order to allow green consumers on tighter budgets to pay less and thus enable greater numbers to participate in positive environmental change."

Amen ladies—I hope many will follow your lead. CROW Clothing… evolutionary, indeed."

...simple chic and sustainable in every aspect"
"CROW is more than just clothes--it's a lifestyle..."
"Damali is one of those people who is very quietly, very earnestly, and very effectively changing the world."

Another concept that makes this line different from others is that shoppers can actually name their own price for the items, much like bidding on airplane tickets."
"CROW was created to start a community where people actually care about you."

. . . uniquely timed to take advantage of current trends in online technology--it's a green business, advocating sustainable technology and offering social networking around healthy food and lifestyles."

I find the Crow Clothing links very interesting. I see a commitment to environmental consciousness on the fabric page...and movement toward social responsibility on the learning pages."

I really love the idea of what they’re doing."
